Richard has contributed and appeared in many television and radio productions about Robin Hood. His knowledge, approachability and no-nonsense presentations wearing his functioning museum-quality costume of a medieval Royal Forester have made him a popular - and photogenic - guide on his personal tours of "Robin Hood Country". Richard recently advised on the Channel 4 Television production "Robin Hood : Fact or Fiction?". For his ‘Robin Hood’ contribution to BBC2 broadcast from Nottingham Castle in October 2003 he was given a commendation. Richard also gained a commendation for his contribution to BBC Radio Nottingham’s "Robin Hood : A Sense of Place" in 2002. Richard writes regularly on Robin Hood aspects for the BBC Nottingham website and presents a new visual guided tour of "Robin Hood Country" going on-line next month.

Robin Hood : On the Outlaw Trail in Nottingham and Sherwood Forest takes the reader on a twelfth century tour through the medieval city and then heading north through the forest. ROBIN HOOD : ON THE OUTLAW TRAIL AGAIN !

by Richard Rutherford-Moore

The long-awaited third Robin Hood book

from a popular local author as seen on TV

Richard Rutherford-Moore’s final book in his Robin Hood trilogy, taking the reader out of Sherwood Forest west into Derbyshire before turning north into Yorkshire. Featuring amongst other spots ‘The Other Nottingham Castle’, Hathersage, Loxley, Barnsdale, Kirklees, Boroughbridge and ending at Robin Hood’s Bay - by popular demand these and more sites are discussed and finely detailed in their connections to the famous outlaw and his band.

"A literary end to a notable quest but hopefully not a complete end to the authors Robin Hood adventures! Richard represents the outlaw in his own inimitable style to both adult and children alike. Like Robin Hood himself, the author uses his wits in both practical skill and research knowledge on his site-visits to describe and span both Time and Space to give the famous outlaw both believe-ability and feasibility. Richard has set a new precedent for Robin Hood studies and has become the pathfinder that many others will wish to follow in the future. His investigation into the history of Robin Hood’s Grave at Kirklees is a masterpiece and his presentations of "Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest" in medieval costume have no close competitor at all. "

Richard has appeared in and contributed to many television documentaries about Robin Hood, the most recent being a second History Channel documentary about Robin Hood and advised on and appears in the Channel Four Television programme Robin Hood : Fact or Fiction ? in the series presented by Tony Robinson of ‘Time Team’ and Richard can also be seen in the book accompanying this television series. Richard has written five special articles which are featured on the BBC Nottingham website and the website of The World-Wide Robin Hood Society and both author and book were featured on BBC2 FLOG IT! in October. Robin Hood : Off On The Outlaw Trail Again ! comes illustrated with lots of photographs and several maps.
